Stacy Da Silva

Stacys’ Indian name is Sunrise Eagle Woman.  Stacy is a proud mother of her 5 year old son Sage. Stacy has been acting in theatre for 11 years and for the past 9 years has been actively pursuing a career in film and television.  Some of the work that Stacy has completed is CBC television series "North of 60", "Dreamkeeper", "Picking up the Eagle Feather", "National Aboriginal Achievement Awards", and most recently a feature length film in which she had the female lead "Hank Williams First Nation".  Stacy has been doing theatre work with Crazy Horse Theatre for over 5 years now, as well as performing pantomime with Neo Eccentric Entertainment.

Having obtained training in Forum Theatre Stacy works on facilitating workshops that surround issues of oppression and social injustices that youth face in their communities.  Stemming from her passion for pow wow fancy dance Stacy completed the Aboriginal Dance Performance Program at the Banff Center in 2003, as well as her continued training in traditional hoop dancing. Stacy absolutely loves working with youth and speaking to them about her journey as a young Aboriginal woman.  She has a variety of issues that she can speak to and is humbled and honored to do so.  Stacy is very honored to be a part of "Going Miles", which brings to light the strength and beauty of Aboriginal People and especially our youth.  All my relations.
