Cowboy Smithx

Hello my natives! Yes, I said “my natives.” I don’t care what race you are, what religion you are, or what team you cheer for; you’re all my natives. As you might have already guessed, I am a Native North American, or Aboriginal, or First Nations, or whatever the Government is calling us these days.
I am a proud member of the Blackfoot Confederacy and I hail from both the Piikani and Kainai nations, which are located in Southern Alberta. I was born in a haunted little hospital back in 1982 in the small town of Fort Macleod, AB. I’ve been living in Calgary for the past 5 years and hope to assimilate a Degree in English before I die a horrible death in 2037. I also have a love for filmmaking; I hope to attend the New York Film Academy and show Hollywood how to use the Computer Generated Image properly. Currently, I own and operate my own little theatre company, which falls under my small business, which is aptly titled Neo Eccentric Entertainment. I specialize in “pantomime theatre” (a form of theatre that doesn’t use conventional dialogue).
Our shows are based on native legends about the Blackfoot trickster “Napi.” All of our shows are narrated by the smooth talking Dr. Persey Klaw. We pre-record the story in a studio, this way Persey can never be found by the Undercover Demons of the Free World. I love movies and I hate movies. There have been tons of crappy movies made lately and this trend must be stopped. I intend on bringing my traveling theatre show the New Zealand for the 2005 World Indigenous Peoples Conference on Education, so if you have some dough to invest into a young native artist; help a brother out you rich bastards (kidding!). I usually spell my last name with a silent “X,” because I’m at a stage in my life where a lot of my memory is just disappearing into thin air, therefore, any and all Smithx’s will be easily identifiable as “my cussins.” The real story behind the silent "x" is a long epic that I'm sure you really don't care to hear.
Until next time…Goodbye, Adios and Kiitamutsiin!
Catch me on CJSW 90.9 every Sunday @ 6:30PM. The show is called “Beyond Beads and Feathers.” ---Cowboy Smithx---
